Police have increased patrols in a Glastonbury park after a man was reported to be acting suspiciously.

Officers were called to the park on Windmill Hill on Wednesday, 10 April, after concerns that a man appeared to be filming children and women in the area.

The parent's post was shared hundreds of times on social media, prompting concern in the local community.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers attended the park and located a man matching the description given. They took his details and examined his mobile devices.

Police said no suspicious images were found, no offences were identified, and the man told officers he had gone to the park to get a better phone signal so he could watch videos.

Police confirmed no further action will be taken.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We're grateful to members of the public for reporting suspicious behaviour. Our uniformed neighbourhood officers are patrolling Windmill Hill Park, Glastonbury, to reassure the community."
