The much-anticipated headline act for the 28th annual Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza has been unveiled, with the renowned alt-rock band Keane set to grace the stage on Saturday, 3rd August 2024.

Known for their emotive and honest music, Keane, hailing from Battle, East Sussex, consists of Tim Rice-Oxley, Tom Chaplin, Richard Hughes, and Jesse Quin.

The band, celebrated for the depth and sincerity of their songs, comprises school friends Tim Rice-Oxley and Tom Chaplin, drummer Richard Hughes, and bassist Jesse Quin, who joined the group in 2011. Keane's music has maintained its relevance over the years, resonating with fans old and new.

The year 2024 is particularly special for Keane as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album, 'Hopes and Fears', featuring their iconic hit, 'Somewhere Only We Know'.

The Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza, organized by the Glastonbury Festival team, is a one-night music festival set in the historic abbey grounds. The 2023 edition of the Extravaganza drew an impressive crowd of over 9,000 attendees.

In the 2024 event, Keane will be joined by yet-to-be-announced special guests and the Shepton Mallet Big Band, bringing a mix of swing tunes to the stage.

The gates for the Extravaganza will open at 4:30 pm, with the event culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at 10 pm.

Advance tickets are now available at £45 for adults and £25 for children, with discounts for PLUS members. Tickets can be purchased through the Glastonbury Abbey website or at the abbey shop. For those looking to extend their experience, camping options are available near the Tor, with a shuttle bus service to the abbey on the night of the event.
