This weekend Street and Glastonbury come alive with an array of captivating events that cater to music lovers, food enthusiasts, and art aficionados alike.

Starting off, The King Arthur in Glastonbury is all set to host the New Avalon Ballroom Weekend, a three-day extravaganza steeped in the vibrant world of psychedelic music. The event, which begins on July 29th, 2023, promises a heady mix of performances by renowned bands such as The Kundalini Genie, Zubzub, and Luminous Bodies. It's the perfect venue for those seeking an immersive musical experience.

The spirit of community and celebration is embodied in the upcoming People's Picnic Party, a free, family-friendly event focusing on local food. Organised at the organic Paddington Farm nestled at the base of Glastonbury Tor, this open-air gathering invites everyone on July 30th, 2023, between 13:00 and 17:00.

Meanwhile, literary enthusiasts can enjoy a Q&A and book signing session with acclaimed witchcraft author Jennifer Lane. Scheduled for 2pm 3.30pm on July 29th, 2023, this event offers an intriguing glimpse into 'The Witch's Survival Guide'. It's a unique opportunity to meet Lane at the venue located at The Coven, 51 High Street, Glastonbury.

Shifting the cultural lens to music, Strode Theatre in Street presents a stunning performance by Akram Abdulfattah, a young Palestinian-American violin master known for his fusion of jazz, Middle Eastern, and Indian music. His concert, promising a tantalising mix of musical cultures, is on July 29th, from 19:30 to 21:30.

For art lovers, a visit to the ACEarts in Somerton on July 29th, from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, offers an inspiring experience. A special Coffee Morning and Meet the Artists event coincides with the opening of two new exhibitions, allowing visitors to enjoy their morning brew while interacting with the creative minds behind the artwork.

Rounding off the month's offerings is the Race Night at the Royal British Legion in Street on July 29th, 2023. Promising an evening of pre-recorded races and drinks, this event guarantees fun and entertainment for the whole family.

With such a vibrant line-up of events, the weekend promises to be a culturally rich weekend, offering unique experiences that cater to a wide range of interests and preferences.
