Is your garden the pride of Glastonbury? Blooming brilliant competition now open

Glastonbury in Bloom 2025 invites residents to enter their creative, wildlife-friendly gardens by 23 June.
Glastonbury in Bloom 2025 invites residents to enter their creative, wildlife-friendly gardens by 23 June.

Glastonbury's green-fingered residents are being called to step up, plant out and show off, as entries open for the 2025 Glastonbury in Bloom competition.

The annual contest is back – and it's completely free to enter. Whether you've got a full-scale floral display, a neatly kept front garden, a wildlife-friendly corner, or even just a cracking set of window boxes, organisers want to hear from you.

And it's not all about size. Judges are looking for creativity, colour, and how much you're doing to support local wildlife – so a small planter buzzing with bees and butterflies could be just as impressive as a landscaped lawn.

The competition is open to all Glastonbury residents, and winners will be invited to a special awards ceremony later in the year to recognise their efforts.

The closing date for entries is Monday 23 June, and judging will take place the week beginning 14 July.

To enter, contact Sarah Marks on 01458 831769 or email [email protected].
