These images show the majestic sight of a Lancaster Bomber flying over Glastonbury Tor on Bank Holiday Monday (August 29) in honour of a pilot killed in the 'Dam Busters' raid.

The plane took off in honour of Squadron Leader Henry Maudslay a pilot with No. 617 Squadron of the Royal Air Force (RAF).

Maudslay was killed in action while taking part in Operation Chastise, popularly known as the 'Dam Busters' raid.

The flight was seen over the Tor during a journey over Willersey Fete, Gloucestershire.

The flypast made three passes over the village.

The village lost four people in WW2 - shot down in Lancaster Bombers.
