Human remains found in search for missing Glastonbury woman

Officers searching for a woman who went missing from Glastonbury have discovered human remains near the town.

Carol was last seen on Wednesday, January 24 in Monmouth Close.

While formal identification has yet to take place, Carol's family has been informed of the development.

The police have thanked the public for their support and assistance during the search and said her death is not being treated as suspicious.

A police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with Carol's family at this difficult time."
