Looking for something fun to do this weekend?

There are plenty of exciting events lined up, offering a variety of entertainment for everyone. From community repair cafes and multi-genre DJ nights to local music festivals and cinema screenings, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Start your Saturday, 15 June, with a visit to the Glastonbury Repair Café at St. Benedict's Church on Benedict's Street. Running from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, this friendly community event invites you to bring along any household items, gadgets, toys, or clothing that need fixing. Enjoy a cup of tea, homemade cake, and a chat while skilled repairers show you how to give your items a new lease of life. The event is run by donation, with profits going to local community projects. For more details, visit here.

In the evening, head to The Event Space for "Welcome To The Jungle," a multi-genre DJ night featuring Drum n Bass and 4×4 music. The event runs from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am and includes performances by Cha23 B2B Cub, Realise I, MFC, Ziggy, TBagz, and Mayzee. Tickets are £7.50 in advance or £10 on the door. This event is for those aged 18 and over. Grab your advance tickets here.

For those interested in sustainability, the Repair Café at St Benedict's Church continues from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Learn how to fix your items, reduce waste, and contribute to climate change efforts while enjoying coffee and cake with fellow repair enthusiasts. All for a donation.

Also, on Saturday morning, join the Freecycle event at Herbie's Field from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. This is a great opportunity to offer stuff for free and pick up items you didn't know you needed. It's a wonderful way to recycle and reuse items within the community.

Later on Saturday, enjoy the Coxley Music Festival at Coxley Park from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This festival features multiple stages with live music in various styles. Entry is free, but voluntary donations are welcome, with all funds going to the local food bank. It's a perfect way to spend the afternoon and evening while supporting a good cause.

On Sunday, 16 June, the Queen of Cups in Glastonbury hosts the Backdoor Blues Jam from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This event is perfect for music lovers looking to enjoy some live blues in a relaxed atmosphere.

Additionally, Strode Theatre in Street has some great film screenings lined up. Watch "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" on Friday, 14 June, or Saturday, 15 June, and catch the 60th anniversary screening of "Mary Poppins" on Saturday, 15 June. For more information and to book tickets, contact the Box Office at 01458 442846 or visit their website.

Enjoy the activities!
