Shoppers at Clarks Village got a sugar-coated surprise as HARIBO reopened its doors with a brand-new look and plenty of reasons to smile.

The transformed store launched with live entertainment, prizes and treats for the first 50 customers — along with a generous 20% off offer for anyone spending £20. Lucky visitors could also win tickets to top UK attractions like Alton Towers and Sealife through the new Lucky Dip prize draw.

The redesigned space now boasts digital screens, more international HARIBO products, exclusive gifts and a refreshed Pick Your Mix station. And later this month, the HARIBO Goldbear himself will be popping by to join in the fun.

Rebecca Fox, Head of Retail at HARIBO, said: "We were thrilled to see customers' delight and enjoyment as we welcomed them back into our newly transformed store. Inspired by HARIBO's more recent stores, we want to keep pushing ourselves to make more moments of childlike happiness for our fans in Somerset."

The Clarks Village revamp follows a strong start to the year for HARIBO's retail arm, with a new store opening in Bluewater in February and plans to launch its first Scottish branch later in 2025.

Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village, said: "HARIBO is a firm favourite with our guests, and we're pleased to see its fantastic revamp as it continues to bring a sprinkle of sweetness to Clarks Village."

The makeover forms part of a wider summer of change for the shopping outlet, with more brand arrivals and the launch of the new Art & Putt mini golf course in the pipeline.
