Glastonbury Tourism Business grabs 5 Awards at Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards

Glastonbury business The Middlewick took home 5 awards at the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Awards.

Jill and Jonathan Barker celebrated with their team at the awards ceremony at the Bristol Hotel. There were 26 different categories on the night and The Middlewick took home 3 Golds and 2 Silvers.

They won awarded wins in Best Cafe or Tea Room, Dog Friendly Business, Responsible, Ethical and Sustainable Business and were runners up in New Business of the Year and Self Catering Accommodation.

Jill Barker, who has owned Middlewick for 12 years now, said 'I am extremely proud of our team here, everyone has worked so hard this year with our new cafe venture. Winning all these awards has been fantastic but the award I am most pleased with is the , Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable award. The team and I are passionate about being as sustainable as possible so to win this category has made me extremely happy. '

Ben McGrail, host of the awards said "It was a real honour to be part of such a celebration of the amazing tourism industry in Bristol, Bath and Somerset. We have so much to offer across the region and the night really showed off just how hard people work to make that possible. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees!"

Awards director, Nell Barrington added: "Each year these awards get more and more competitive. They really do showcase the finest experiences visitors to the county can have and provide a truly inspirational bucket list. It was a privilege to be able to celebrate with such fantastic businesses. Congratulations to them all."
