Glastonbury residents urged to have say on £23.6m Town Deal
By Laura Linham 9th Feb 2026
People in Glastonbury are being urged to have their say on how the town's £23.6 million Town Deal has been managed, as an independent review gets under way.
The funding was secured through the Government's Towns Fund, with Glastonbury one of 101 towns across the UK to receive investment. The money was awarded to deliver projects set out in the town's Town Investment Plan, with funding provided as capital grants, such as for building and infrastructure works.
In contrast to many other Town Deal areas, where schemes have been delivered by local councils, several Glastonbury projects have been led by local community groups.
The Glastonbury Town Deal Board has appointed Ash Futures to carry out an independent review of the programme. The review will look at the management, direction, delivery and overall impact of the Town Deal on the town.
As part of that process, a community survey has been launched to gather views from residents, businesses and organisations.
Organisers say they want to hear from as many people as possible to help shape the final findings.
All responses will be anonymous, and no personal details will be held unless participants choose to leave an email address to enter a prize draw for two £50 vouchers to spend with a local business. The winners will be selected at random.
The survey closes on Tuesday, 18 February 2026. People can take part via here.
