Glastonbury pagan shop The Goddess and The Green Man to reopen
By Laura Linham 5th May 2026
A much-loved Glastonbury pagan shop is set to reopen after closing earlier this year.
The Goddess and The Green Man, a long-standing High Street business, will return under new ownership with the blessing and support of former owner Tyna Redpath.
The shop first opened on Beltane and the news of its return has been announced to mark the same festival.
New owner Chris Forester said he had visited the shop since the 1990s and described it as "a key part" of his connection with Glastonbury.
He said he travelled to the town in January for the shop's final day, where he thanked Tyna for what it had meant to him.
Chris said: "It was during that moment that I began to feel a calling to look towards manifesting the shop continuing for a new generation of visitors and for the town itself.
"So I'm delighted to inform you that, with Tyna's blessing and on-going support, The Goddess and Green Man will re-open."
Chris said the shop will remain an authentic pagan store, focused on the Goddess, the Green Man and Horned God, the Wheel of the Year and the Moon.
It will stock local and independent artists where possible, alongside books, jewellery, gifts and pagan items.
The shop also plans to continue featuring pagan artists including Wendy Andrews and Yuri Leitch, and will support the Goddess Conference.
Chris said profits from the store will go to charity and to rescuing and rehabilitating native wildlife, linked to the animal rescue sanctuary run by his wife Sharon.
He added that the business will also build a new online store, helping people stay connected with Glastonbury from around the world.
Longer term plans include courses for people at different stages of their spiritual journey.
Tyna Redpath said she had decided in 2024 to close the shop in early 2026 after 34 years of trading.
She said she met Chris at the first Goddess Conference in Glastonbury in 1995 and was deeply touched when he came to the shop's final day in January.
Tyna said: "I had no idea how much this tiny shop meant to so many people.
"So I am happy to share the delicious secret we have been holding.
"With my blessing and on-going support The Goddess & The Green Man will reopen — with new ownership in Chris, and a new team."
She added: "Is this not real magic at work?!
"And the Wheel turns…"
