Glastonbury firefighters helped to free a woman from a car following a crash on the B3151 heading out of Street yesterday evening (July 22).

Just after 5.30pm, fire crews from Street and Glastonbury arrived on the scene along with the police and ambulance services.

One car was on its roof in a hedge with a female casualty inside.

Crews used a Stabfast stabilisation system to stabilise the vehicle, and a height adjustable platform for access to the casualty.

Paramedics made an assessment of the casualty, and fire crews assisted the female from the vehicle and into the ambulance.

Crews also made the vehicle safe and used a Tirfor winch to right the vehicle. Duty of care was handed to the police.
