Staff from Glastonbury-based companies are gearing up to take on mud, electric shocks and ice baths – all in the name of supporting the local food bank.

Jackson Drilling, Jackson Water Services and Jackson Geo Services will tackle the notoriously gruelling Tough Mudder challenge in August, raising money for Glastonbury & Street Bridging the Gap.

The charity provides essential food and household items for local individuals and families in crisis.

Lily Behan, speaking on behalf of the companies, said: "We are doing more for our local community and raising as much as possible for our local food bank.

"This challenging obstacle course will test us physically and mentally, but it's all for a great cause – raising funds for this incredible charity that provides vital support to people in need."

The team hopes their efforts will raise awareness and funds for Bridging the Gap, which continues to see increasing demand for its services.
