Glastonbury's dragons are turning 10 — and the town is getting a full birthday blow-out.
The Glastonbury Dragons May Fayre and Procession will take place on Sunday, 3 May 2026, with events at Tor Leisure Centre, Glastonbury Market Cross, the High Street and the Fairfield on Glastonbury Tor.
The free community event will feature music, Morris dancing, drumming, handmade crafts, traditional games and a procession through the town.
This year marks the 10th birthday of the Glastonbury Dragons.
Local bakers Burns the Bread are creating a birthday cake for the occasion, while organisers say newly transformed versions of the Red and White Glastonbury Dragons will appear during the celebrations.
Where the Glastonbury Dragons event takes place
The day begins at Tor Leisure Centre, where the May Fayre will host dragon and May-themed handmade arts and crafts, alongside birthday-themed traditional games.
The celebration will then move into the town centre, with performances expected around Glastonbury Market Cross and along the High Street.
The dragons will process from Tor Leisure Centre up the High Street to the Fairfield on the slopes of Glastonbury Tor.
The Fairfield will host the Glastonbury Dragons seasonal celebration, including the Blossom Circle ceremony.
Performers and procession
Special guests are set to include Pentacle Drummers, Glastonbury Border Morris, Boudica Rocks Morris, Lady Amp, Glastonbury Dragon Drummers and The Drummers of Avalon.
Ceremonialists, performers and the Red and White Glastonbury Dragons will also take part.
The parade is expected to include the Glastonbury Dragons' traditional "battle of the season".
