A Glastonbury town councillor has been suspended by the Conservative Party after her name appeared in a leaked database from a white supremacist dating website, according to reporting by national newspaper The Observer.
Lillith Osborn, who represents St John's Ward on the town council, was named in a partial leak of users from the site called WhiteDate.
The leak was published last week after a German cybersecurity researcher shut down the site at a live security conference and obtained its user data.
The Observer reports Osborn's profile was created in 2020, before she was elected, and described her political orientation as "pro‑white" and her interests as "indigenous European spirituality".
The paper says the profile appeared among thousands of others in the leaked dataset.
Osborn told The Observer she had visited the site "once or twice" while researching modern paganism. She said she has mixed‑race children and claimed the wording was used to appear credible to other users.
A Conservative Party spokesman told The Observer: "Councillor Lillith Osborn has been suspended pending investigation by the Conservative Party. The Conservative Party has robust procedures in place to handle complaints. This process is rightfully confidential."
