These pictures show a tiny snippet of some of the experiences of the Glastonbury Community Volunteers from recent months.
Volunteering brings a whole range of experiences, and one of those is the joy in meeting people, having a shared experience or learning something new from a conversation with a resident.
Throughout the last four months, volunteers have been visiting residents, either with essential supplies or with random gifts.
There are always lots of comments about "how wonderful it was to see a smiley face" and "you can still see they are smiling underneath the mask".
Seventeen-year-old Azra volunteers with his mum, Tracey, and when he was being interviewed he said he "has learnt how to shop". He is constantly described by residents as "very polite", "friendly" and "a good lad".
Both Tracey and Azra have shopped for people since the start of lockdown.
Richard, who is one of the Glastonbury residents who have been helped, said: "I think the volunteers are wonderfully cheerful, they are kind and caring and supportive.
"Without them we would have been stymied. I've got nothing but praise and admiration for the people that have done the shopping for us."
Rider went to visit Caroline earlier this month, alongside his mum, and he had a great time meeting residents.
Caroline was dependant on the shopping service, but now she is able to use Morrisons Click and Collect. She has kindly offered to support the community by making phone calls to other residents.
The volunteers are still active in different ways, the Facebook group is full of enquiries and news, and children are writing letters to share with residents, all with the same aim of keeping the smiles on people's faces.
Glastonbury has emerged from its sleepy slumber and at times life appears "normal", but the volunteers are hoping that this is a new normal that also involves a closer community with everyone feeling more connected and supported.
