Glastonbury area roadworks for week commencing September 7

A road in Butleigh is scheduled to be closed next week while a telegraph pole is replaced.

Harepits Lane is due to be shut to traffic from 9.30am to 3.30pm on Thursday (September 10).

HSC Worcester Ltd are set to be replacing the telegraph pole on behalf of BT Openreach and a diversion will be in place, via Barton Road, Sub Road and Kingweston Road.

Other roadworks in the Glastonbury area that are scheduled to take place next week include:

The temporary traffic lights on the A361 in Sticklinch to enable Bristol Water to repair a burst main are due to remain in place until Tuesday (September 8).

From Monday (September 7) to Thursday, Somerset Highways are set to be connecting a sewer in the Northload Bridge area of Glastonbury.

On Monday and Tuesday, Bristol Water is scheduled to be working in St Edmund's Road, Glastonbury.

On Monday, Western Power Distribution is due to be working in Glastonbury's Selwood Road and Turstin Road.

From Thursday to September 14, Somerset Highways are set to be replacing a streetlight in Orchard Terrace, Glastonbury, and on the same dates, BT is scheduled to be working in Wells Road in the town.

On Tuesday, BT's works to renew a cabinet and lay ducts in Chilkwell Street, Glastonbury, are due to be completed.

Finally, Tuesday should also see the end of Western Power Distribution's work to repair a cable fault in St Bride's Close, Glastonbury.
