Wilf was renowned for his dedication to delivering fresh, free-range eggs from his own hens to cafes and residents around Glastonbury. His commitment to his deliveries, whether by his immaculate Morris Minor van, vintage tractor, or even a sledge in extreme weather, made him a beloved local figure.

Born and raised in Glastonbury, Wilf attended St John's School and spent his entire life in the town, witnessing and adapting to its many changes. In addition to his egg delivery business, he was dedicated to raising 17 Hereford cattle for beef.

Known for his simplicity, Wilf shunned modern technology, preferring to maintain his 1964 van, which he had owned since 1972, in pristine condition. His warmth and friendliness were a hallmark of his character, and he was always ready to share a smile and a conversation.

Wilf leaves behind a town that will remember him for his eggs and his unwavering commitment to the community. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and community spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
