Five rushed to hospital following serious collision near Ashcott

Emergency services responded to a serious incident near Ashcott, Somerset, on Sunday afternoon, June 2nd.

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) confirmed they received a call at 4:25 pm following a collision at the Pipers Inn Junction and deployed significant resources to the scene.

This included two air ambulances, a doctor, a tactical commander, an operations officer, two rapid response vehicles, and four double-crewed land ambulances.

Five patients were transported to hospitals for treatment. Three were taken by land ambulance to Musgrove Park Hospital, while the remaining two patients were transported to Southmead Hospital.

One patient was airlifted, and the other travelled by land ambulance.

The condition of the patients is not known at this time.
