Angela Henderson, former Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PPC) for the Workers Party of Great Britain (WPB) in the Glastonbury and Somerton area, has announced her withdrawal from the upcoming election.

In a statement, Henderson cited long-term pre-existing travel plans abroad that conflict with the unexpectedly early election date of 4th July.

She said: "It is with great sadness that I have had to withdraw."

Despite her withdrawal, Henderson remains committed to the WPB and hopes to strengthen the party's presence in the constituency for future elections.

In the Glastonbury and Somerton area, Reform UK has nominated Tom Carter, while Jon Cousins represents the Green Party. The Liberal Democrats have put forward Sarah Dyke and Labour's candidate is Hal Hooberman, and the Conservatives have chosen Faye Purbrick.
