The classic homeware brand Emma Bridgewater has joined Clarks Village as it makes its debut in the south west, just in time for Christmas.

The new Emma Bridgewater pop-up at the Somerset shopping outlet is the brand's second stand-alone store in the UK and its very first in the south west.

The shop showcases the renowned range of mugs and pottery it has become famous for. The 279 sq ft store near the Central Gardens in Clarks Village, will sell quality factory seconds and discontinued ranges at exclusive outlet prices.

The British-born brand was first established in 1985 by founder Emma Bridgewater as she sought to find the perfect birthday present for her mother. Uninspired by what was available on the high street, Emma started the journey of designing her own pottery which fast became a stylish modern brand.

Julia Cove-Smith, managing director at Emma Bridgewater, said: "We can't wait to open the new Emma Bridgewater pop-up shop at Clarks Village. It will be a great opportunity for customers to see the beautiful Emma Bridgewater Christmas collections and purchase quality factory seconds and discontinued ranges at discounted prices.

"Opening in Clarks Village is particularly exciting for us as it is our first shop in the southwest and it's great to be alongside so many well-known brands that are part of the outlet shopping centre."

Chris Davis, Centre Director of Clarks Village, added: "As a classic British pottery brand, we're very proud to welcome Emma Bridgewater and its first southwest store to Clarks Village. It joins a strong line-up of designer brands and high street names all offering a mix of exclusive-to-outlet discounts. Together with our range of eateries, upcoming Festive Market and the newly opened ice-skating rink, Clarks Village is offering the ultimate in Christmas shopping this season."
