Taking the Space Theatre is calling for new recruits for its Mini Actors Club, a popular and affordable drama workshop for 6–10‑year‑olds

A popular drama workshop in Street is inviting budding young actors to join its Mini Actors Club — an energetic group that has been building confidence and nurturing a love of performance for ten years.

Taking the Space Theatre, a local Community Interest Company, has spent a decade offering affordable, high‑quality drama workshops for children and young people across the area. In that time, countless young people have gained new skills, built friendships and found their voice — with many going on to produce genuinely impressive performances.

The Mini Actors Club is open to children aged 6–10 and meets every Monday from 4.30pm–5.30pm at Street United Reform Church. The sessions focus on making drama fun, interactive and welcoming for every child, regardless of experience. Through games, role‑play and performance exercises, participants build confidence and develop teamwork, communication and creative thinking — all within a supportive and inclusive space.

"Over the years, we've seen countless young people flourish through these sessions," said Maxine, who leads the group. "It's always a joy to watch their confidence grow and to help them find their own voice. The Mini Actors Club is a space for making friends, exploring ideas and having a lot of fun together."

For more information or to book a space for your child, call Maxine on 07850 445540, email [email protected] or visit www.takingthespace.co.uk.
