Glastonbury is gearing up for one of the biggest nights on the year as the 2024 carnival set to host an array of events this weekend, offering a mix of music, spiritual workshops, and festive celebrations.

The weekend's events in Glastonbury begin with a unique concert at St. Benedict's Church on Friday, 17th November. 'We Are Wild' presents an intimate candlelit evening featuring Charlotte Mabon and Jya Raine. Attendees can look forward to being serenaded by songs inspired by nature in a cosy, womb-like atmosphere. The event, starting at 7 pm, also offers homemade cakes and tea, with doors opening at 6:30 pm.

At The King Arthur, a well-known venue for eclectic events, the weekend starts with DJ Dr. Amaqueen presenting Electric Mutha Funk on Friday, 17th November. This lively event will feature a vibrant mix of funk and dance music. The excitement builds on Saturday, 18th November, with the Carnival Afterparty Rave, featuring DJs Chas23, Cub, and Hydn, going until 1 am. The weekend concludes with a Sunday Session on 19th November, details of which are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, the Glastonbury Goddess Halls is hosting the 'Pearl Mothers in Avalon For Women without Children' workshop with Uni Arndísar on Saturday, 18th November. This event is a celebration of women who find motherhood in different forms, including nurturing creative and life-giving projects. The workshop includes restorative yoga, sound healing, and Mother Earth Ceremonies, offering a space for self-love and connection with nature.

In addition to these events, Glastonbury's streets will come alive with the annual carnival procession on Saturday, 18th November. Part of the 'Magnificent Seven' carnivals in the South West, this year's carnival promises a spectacular show of lights and sounds, starting at 6:45 pm. Attendees are encouraged to contribute to the collection for local charities.
