The Mediæval Bæbes, a British ensemble known for their medieval themed music, are scheduled to perform in Glastonbury on 8th December 2023.

The concert, held at St John the Baptist's Church, will start at 7.30 pm, with doors opening half an hour earlier at 7 pm.

Founded in 1996 by Dorothy Carter and Katharine Blake, the group has become known for its interpretations of medieval music. Their most successful album, 'Worldes Blysse', has contributed significantly to their total sales of around 500,000 records worldwide.

Katharine Blake, also known for her work with the band Miranda Sex Garden, leads the ensemble. The Mediæval Bæbes have been recognised for their contributions to television music, including an Ivor Novello Award and two Emmy nominations. Their music often features lyrics from medieval and romantic texts set to original scores.

The group's repertoire includes not only medieval texts but also traditional and folk songs, performed in a variety of ancient languages. They have previously toured extensively and performed in diverse venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and the Lilith Fair.

This concert in Glastonbury offers a chance to experience the Mediæval Bæbes' unique approach to music, blending historical themes with modern musical styles.
