Caravan torched in suspected arson attack in Glastonbury

A caravan was completely destroyed and a second left badly damaged after a fire ripped through a residential property in Glastonbury – and fire crews believe it was started on purpose.
Emergency services were called to Bowyer's Close, off Manor House Road, at 9.23pm on Thursday 22 May after flames engulfed two caravans, a garage and two vehicles.
Crews from Glastonbury and Street raced to the scene and used breathing gear, high-powered jets, foam and thermal imaging cameras to bring the blaze under control.
One caravan was burnt to the ground, the second was left around 50 per cent destroyed, and the garage was left filled with smoke.
The fire service has confirmed the blaze is believed to have been started deliberately, and an investigation is now under way.
No injuries have been reported.
