Car Fire at

Date: Time: Location: One fire engine from Glastonbury Fire Station was mobilised to reports of a vehicle on fire on the side of the road from a passer by.On arrival crews confirmed one vehicle to be well alight and set to work using one compressed air foam attack jet, one hose reel jet with two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.Crews requested the attendance of the Police as the Meare Road was completely shut and it was believed this could be malicious ignition.Crews also requested the attendance of a second appliance from Street Fire Station to assist with water due to running fuel fires coming from the vehicle.This fire has now been extinguished and the vehicle has been completely destroyed by the fire. Police have attended and have now taken duty of care of this incident and our crews have come away. These are the final details.
