Approval given for five flats to be built in Glastonbury

Permission has been granted for five new flats to be built in Glastonbury.

Mendip District Council planners have approved the proposal by Wells Building and Restoration for the erection of five flats and associated bin and bicycle store at 52B Magdalene Street, Glastonbury.

Planning applications received for the Glastonbury area this week include:

An amendment to approved application 2019/0380/HSE for enlargement of dormer roof to property for additional living space at 50 The Roman Way, Glastonbury, has been applied for by Mr and Mrs D Sparks.

Prior approval for change of use of part of an agricultural building to a dwellinghouse (use Class C3) at Hornblotton Farm, Mill House To Fosse Way, Hornblotton, is wanted by Ms Faye Litherland.

Rear extension, insertion of roof lights and rearrangement of first floor at 24 Chilkwell Street, Glastonbury, has been applied for by Dr P Banks.

Planning applications in the Glastonbury area that have been decided this week include:

Construction of an Agricultural Storage Building with Staff Welfare Facility and associated Farm Office at Doublegate Farm, Lower Godney, by Mr Robert Millard has been approved.

An application to vary conditions 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 of planning approval 2016/3137/FUL as per drawing 1705/p02d which details blue lias and blue-black engineering brick faced retaining walls, in lieu of grass banking and rendered walls (amended description) at Henley Farm, Henley Lane, Butleigh, by Sebastian Parsons has been approved.

Conversion of outbuilding into self contained annex as ancillary accommodation to main house at Polsham Farm, Polsham Lane, Polsham, by Mr M Cole has been withdrawn.

Construction of decking area within cafe garden, pursuant to grant of 2018/2945/FUL at the Former Police Court, Abbots Court Buildings, Benedict Street, Glastonbury, by Ms Wyatt has been approved.
