A concrete batching plant could be built on land at Dyehouse Lane in Glastonbury, if plans are given the go-ahead.
Glastonbury based concrete supplier Tor Multimix has been forced to find new premises after being served notice to vacate their current site at the end of the year.
They now want to build their own site – just 250m from their current location – to prevent being forced to relocate again the future, and to create a purpose-built facility that will be more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Control measures may include restriction of hours, operating procedure, physical control measures and procedures to address complaints.
