Parent & Family Support Advisor
Salary: Band 6, Scale Points 6-10
This is a Full time Term time position for a fixed term until 31th of August 2026
Brookside Academy is seeking a dedicated Parent and Family Support Advisor (PFSA) to join our team on a full-time, fixed-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting families, strengthening relationships, and helping children thrive in their learning and development.
About the Role:
As a PFSA, you will work closely with the school, families, and community services to provide both practical and emotional support. Your role will focus on early intervention, helping to remove barriers to learning by offering guidance to parents and students, tackling attendance concerns, and working collaboratively with external agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and guidance to families, parents, and students to encourage positive engagement in school life.
- Work closely with school staff to identify and address issues impacting students' well-being and education.
- Offer targeted support through Early Help Assessments and act as a Lead Professional where needed.
- Deliver parenting courses, workshops, and group support sessions.
- Ensure high standards of safeguarding and collaborate with external support services.
