We are looking for a compassionate, reliable self-employed carer with relevant experience to provide personal care in the local neighbouring villages. If you're interested and meet the criteria below, please send a private message with your experience and qualifications.

Position details:

  • Rate: £17-£18 per hour, depending on experience
  • Shift availability: Tea visits, evening shifts, and night shifts
  • 4-hour evening shifts (starting at 5/6pm)
  • 8-hour night care shifts (£15 per hour, £120 per night)

Requirements:

  • Must have your own transport and a reliable car. This is more than just a taxi service, so a good level of responsibility and care is expected.
  • Ability to manage time well and adapt to varying requests.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and a commitment to ensuring the person being cared for feels supported and their needs are met.
  • Confidence in cooking and meal preparation.
  • Ability to read a room, be intuitive, and balance the needs of the individual and household tasks.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a gentle approach are essential qualities.
  • Must be self-employed and have a Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR).
  • Up-to-date references, a police certificate, DBS, and enhanced DBS are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and support at home and when travelling to appointments.
  • Driving the individual to and from appointments, assisting them in and out of the car.
  • Occasionally providing transport for days out and further afield trips.
