Our goal is to empower women and girls in our town by teaching them self-defence techniques to protect themselves from physical and verbal aggression.

Why & what's a Ceilidh?

Ceilidh dances are a fantastic way to meet new people and socialise while having a memorable time. They are known for being inclusive and accessible, so even if you have no prior dance experience or a partner, you can still join in on the fun! Everyone can participate and enjoy the energetic atmosphere regardless of age or skill level. The infectious rhythms will get your feet tapping and encourage you to join the dancing.

Most importantly, ceilidh dances are loads of fun! The energetic music, joyous atmosphere, and sense of community create an unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a unique, enjoyable, and culturally enriching activity, come and have a dance!

If you fancy getting Fancy! ( no pressure!)

For men, a tweed jacket paired with dress pants or dark jeans is a classic choice, while women can opt for a knee-length dress, a tartan sash, or a skirt with a dressy blouse. It's important to remember Ceilidh's spirit when choosing contemporary attire.

And we live in modern times so where what you like and be comfortable!
