Street FC bow out of FA Cup after narrow Falmouth defeat
By Laura Linham 2nd Sep 2026
Street FC's Emirates FA Cup journey has come to an end after a narrow 2–1 defeat against Falmouth Town AFC.
The Cobblers were knocked out on Saturday, 22 August, despite pushing their opponents all the way.
Chris Barrett found the net for Street, but Falmouth did enough to secure their place in the next round.
Street said the scoreline did not fully reflect the performance, with the side producing plenty of fight, effort and determination through to the final whistle. The club said there were positives to take despite the disappointment of seeing its cup run brought to an end.
The Cobblers felt the players could hold their heads high after a strong effort against tough opposition. On this occasion, however, the result simply did not fall their way.
The defeat brings Street's 2026 Emirates FA Cup campaign to a close, with attention now turning back to the rest of the club's season.
