In Glastonbury, the Avalon housing development by Elan Homes is nearing its completion, with only five properties left for sale.

Among the remaining homes are three 'Russett Special' style properties, each offering 1,182 square feet of living space. These homes are designed with a dual aspect, open-plan kitchen, dining, and family room, along with a separate lounge that opens onto the garden. The ground floor also includes a flexible room that could function as a dining room, study, or additional bedroom.

The upper level of the Russett Special houses two bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and a family bathroom. The design of these homes is intended to provide flexibility and adaptability for various living situations, including potential considerations for mobility issues in later life.

In addition to the Russett Special homes, the Avalon development includes a pair of four-bedroom detached 'Broughton' style properties.

Elan Homes has offered an EasyMove scheme to facilitate potential buyers in selling their current properties. This service includes property valuation, marketing through independent agents, and covering estate agent's fees, alongside the reservation of a new home in the development.

The Avalon development, located on Old Wells Road in Glastonbury, has attracted attention for its mix of modern design and functional living spaces, catering to a range of homebuyers. The sales office and a view home are open for visits from Thursday to Monday, between 10 am and 5 pm.
