Detectives investigating the death of Jonathan Roper, of Glastonbury, charged a 26-year-old man with his murder last night (Wednesday, 29 May).
Jonathan, aged 34, died after being stabbed at a property on Merlin Drive, Wells, on 23 March.

Two fire appliances from Castle Cary and Somerton along with a rescue tender from Glastonbury were all mobilised to reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry.
On arrival, crews confirmed that one lorry had hit a railway bridge, which ended up on its side with the driver still within the vehicle.
Crews rescued the driver using a HGV platform, a triple extension ladder, a Makita saw and a glass master. Crews also dealt with a small diesel leak from the vehicle using pads to absorb it.

This is not the first time the tree has been targeted
The police are appealing for information after a man was found injured on the A39 at between Glastonbury and Wells.
Officers were alerted by the ambulance service just after 11.30pm on Monday 27 May, and the road was closed until 10am today (May 28). A man in his 50s was taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
A road in Glastonbury is closed from today (May 28) for 11 days for sewer renovation work.
Old Wells Road will be subject to a 24-hour road closure from today until June 7 for Wessex Water to do their work.

Drivers face delays and disruption on the major road

Fire Control received a call reporting a cylinder fire at a domestic property in Street. Appliances from Street, Glastonbury and the Environmental Protection Unit from Taunton was also mobilised to attend. On arrival crews found the fire to be out and all oncoming appliances were no longer required.
Fire Crews treated the casualty with cold water for burns. The casualty was left in the care of the Ambulance Service. Suitable Safety advice was given regarding BBQ Safety. The cause of the fire was accidental.
