Your guide to what's going on in Glastonbury over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend.

There's lots going on in and around Glastonbury over the Jubilee weekend, including a programme of events organised by Glastonbury Town Council.
Here's the lowdown on what's taking place:
THURSDAY, JUNE 2
Beacon Lighting on Glastonbury Tor
The long Bank Holiday Weekend celebrations open with the lighting of Glastonbury's 'Platinum Jubilee Beacon' on the Tor at 9:30pm following a short ceremony at the top of the Tor. Space on the Fairfield is being made available for those who do not wish or are not able to climb the Tor.
FRIDAY, JUNE 3
Glastonbury Kings and Queens Procession
Glastonbury's 'Platinum Jubilee Pageant' will celebrate Sovereignty with the theme of "Queens and Kings for the day" setting off at 2pm from the top of the High Street. Participants are asked to assemble from 1:45pm at the top of the High Street The pageant will conclude in Glastonbury Abbey, where you're encouraged to bring your own picnic and the celebrations will continue from 3pm with Glastonbury Brass Band, the newly commissioned Glastonbury St. George Mummers Play and Children's entertainers from Children's World. Last admission to The Abbey is 5:15pm and will close at 6pm.
SATURDAY, JUNE 4
Platinum Jubilee Afternoon Tea at The Lion, West Pennard
The Queen's is apparently very partial to afternoon tea, so make like a Royal and indulge at one the best pubs in the area! £15pp.
SUNDAY, JUNE 5
Civic procession and church service
The day will open with a Civic Procession from the Town Hall to St. John's Church, where a special Platinum Jubilee Service takes place at 11am.
Join the 'Platinum Jubilee Big Lunch' (so bring your favourite picnic food!) on Glastonbury High Street (supported by Glastonbury Co-Op) from 12:30pm
Platinum Jubilee Roof Terrace Barbecue at The Avalon Club
All you can eat, plus a drink - £10 per person
Royal Pub Quiz at The Lion, West Pennard
Brush up on your Windsors and your Tudors, and know your Beatrices from your Eugenies. Maximum teams of 6.
Royal prizes for the winning team
Cost: £1 per person (with proceeds being donated to West Pennard Village Hall)
June 2-5
Head to The Market House in Glastonbury for a Bottomless Brunch over the bank holiday.
Enjoy 90 minutes of bottomless drinks and a delicious brunch dish. (Muct be booked 48 hours in advance).
