Police investigate after mop used as weapon in Glastonbury brawl

Police are investigating a public order incident in Glastonbury in which a woman was injured during a fight involving at least three people.
Officers were called to Glastonbury High Street just before 7pm on Tuesday 17 June following reports of a disturbance involving both male and female individuals. A mop or broom was reportedly used as a weapon during the altercation.
When police arrived at the scene, a woman in her thirties was found with a hand injury after apparently being struck by the broken mop handle. Officers administered first aid before paramedics arrived and treated her at the scene. She did not require hospital treatment.
Neighbourhood officers have launched targeted patrols across the Mendip area in a bid to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, including an increased presence in Glastonbury.
Neighbourhood Sergeant Simon Lancey said: "We're here, we're listening, and we're taking action. If you see our officers out and about, come say hello and let us know if there's anything concerning you."
Police say they are pursuing positive lines of enquiry in connection with the incident.
Anyone who witnessed the altercation or has relevant information or footage and has not yet spoken to police is asked to call 101 and quote reference 5225169300.
