Winner of Clarks Village dog casting competition unveiled!

By Emma Dance 3rd Nov 2022

The winner of the Clarks Village Pawsome Pooch casting competition has been unveiled as Bailey, a 4-month-old Whippet from Street, following a competitive public vote.

The Somerset shopping outlet saw over 300 perfect pooches take part in the casting competition, which took place at the Pawsome Pooch event on 22nd and 23rd October, with guests travelling from across the Southwest to take part in the event.

Following an exciting judging process, 10 dogs were selected and put through to the final round which saw the public vote for their favourite via social media.

Bailey, who visited Clarks Village with owner Jamie Brunt, received the most votes of over 1,500 that were received via social media, crowning her as the winner of the competition, and her owner Jamie, the recipient of £500 Clarks Village shopping vouchers. What's more, the paw-fect pooch will be invited to feature in Clarks Village future marketing campaigns for the next 12 months.

Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village, said: "We're delighted to see Bailey the Whippet selected by the public as our first ever furry face of Clarks Village and it was fantastic to see so many dogs take part in our casting competition over the course of the weekend.

"The judges certainly had a task on their hands choosing the top 10 out of so many paw-fect entries. We're looking forward to seeing Bailey in our future marketing campaigns."

As well as the casting event which featured two professional pet photographers hosting photo shoots in the Clarks Village gardens, there was a stellar line-up of pup-tastic activities including a Pooch Pamper Pod, trick displays, 'have-a-go' sessions run by club K9 Heaven and bespoke live dog sketches by illustrator Alan Snow.
