As more and more events are being organised locally, Nub News is launching a new weekly round up of what's on in Glastonbury each weekend.

Every Thursday we will now bring you our top picks of the events in our What's On section for the coming weekend.

Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

1. Toploader - Live!

Since forming in 1997 Toploader have mor ethan two million album sales to their name and a string of top 20 hits both home and abroad.

Their debut album Onka's Big Moka, sold more than one million copies and remained in the Top 5 of the UK album chart for over six months earning them four Brit Award nominations.

Toploader will be supported by Turner and the Priddice Brothers. Rounding off the night will be a special Britpop/Indie club night with DJ Captain Blackwynn.

2. Repair Cafe

Bring items for repair, learn how to, save money, reduce waste, drink coffee, eat cake and enjoy company.

Starting at 10am, the event is taking place at St Edmund's Hall, Chinnock Road, Bove Town, Glastonbury.

3. Apple Day at Somerset Rural Life Museum

Discover more about this much-loved fruit at this celebration of all things apple-y.

Activities include:

  • Watch the apple pressing take place
  • Take part in the children's apple trail
  • Get creative with apple-themed arts and crafts
  • Enjoy apple treats from the café or bring a picnic to have in the orchard
  • Learn about the history of cider from author and cider-maker James Crowden
  • Meet Les Davies the orchard expert and get your tricky questions answered
