Warehouse fire in Street

Firefighters were called to a warehouse fire in Street on Sunday (August 14) afternoon.

Four appliances from Street, Glastonbury, Wells and Somerton rushed to the scene, along with an Aerial Ladder Platform (which is used to dsitribute water from above) from Bridgwater and a supporting officer.

Once on scene crews confirmed a fire within a warehouse involving a shrink wrap machine. Crews were at work with four Breathing Apparatus, one attack jet and two Thermal imaging cameras. 

Crews confirmed fire was contained to the shrink wrap machine and conveyor belt system on the ground floor of the warehouse, with smoke logging to building.

In total 6 BA, 1 attack jet, 1 safety jet, 2 TIC's, 2 Triple extension ladders and an CO2 extinguisher were used to put out the fire. Both the shrink wrap machine and conveyor system were damaged in the fire. Crews confirmed this fire was accidental.
