Today, Clarks Village celebrated the grand opening of a new Wagamama restaurant.

The restaurant is furnished predominantly with recycled and reused materials—including innovative tables made from repurposed chopsticks—over 80% of the restaurant's fittings reflect a commitment to environmental responsibility.

The new Wagamama at Clarks Village serves a mix of its classic dishes alongside exciting culinary innovations. The introduction of this branch not only diversifies food options available to shoppers but also marks the launch of 'Soul Club,' Wagamama's first-ever loyalty programme.

This initiative offers patrons the chance to earn free menu items and access exclusive content, enriching their dining experience.

The establishment of this new Wagamama has significantly boosted the local economy by creating 60 new jobs. With a capacity to seat 172 guests across its indoor and outdoor spaces, the restaurant is poised to become a community hub for both residents and visitors to Somerset.

Sita Wood, Head of Regional Marketing at Wagamama, said: "We are proud to open what we consider our most sustainable restaurant to date here in Clarks Village. It's a step forward in our commitment to not just serving good food but doing so responsibly."

Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village added: "Wagamama's innovative approach to casual dining fits perfectly with our ethos here at Clarks Village, and we are thrilled to include them in our offering."
