Three people have been arrested following a hit and run in Glastonbury yesterday (June 2) where a pedestrian was left in a critical condition.

The police have said that, following their search for a red Honda Civic believed to be involved in the incident, a vehicle was stopped in Dorset and three people arrested.

Even though the air ambulance attended the scene, the pedestrian was taken to hospital by road where their condition was described as being "critical".

A police spokesperson said: "Three people have been arrested following a collision between a car and a male pedestrian in Pound Close, Glastonbury, at about noon yesterday.

"The arrests were made after a car was stopped in Dorset.

"Two men and a woman are now in custody. Enquiries into this incident are ongoing."

Anyone with information about the incident can call 101 and give log number 459 from June 2.
