Police searching for driver after Glastonbury hit and run leaves pedestrian in critical condition

Avon and Somerset Police are hunting for a driver who left a pedestrian in a critical condition in hospital following a hit and run in Glastonbury today (June 2).

The police were called at approximately 12.10pm to reports of a collision between a male pedestrian and a vehicle in Pound Close, Glastonbury.

The male has been taken to hospital and is believed to be in a critical condition.

The vehicle, thought to be a red Honda Civic, left the scene and a search to locate it involving the police helicopter is underway.

A police spokesperson said: "Anyone with information about what happened is asked to call 101 and give log number 459 from today."
