Health & Social Care students at Strode College in Street have upgraded their lifelike manikins, Pete and Felicia, with cosy slippers courtesy of local footwear manufacturer Cosyfeet.

Situated near the college, Cosyfeet specialises in shoes and slippers for people with swollen feet and was eager to assist when Jodie Chorley, the Health T Level Course Manager, approached them.

The manikins are key educational tools used in the college's realistic simulation ward, helping students hone vital skills for their Health & Social Care qualifications. Recognising the need for the manikins to have slippers as real patients would, Cosyfeet provided their Richie and Holly slippers.

"Our students love working with our manikins Pete and Felicia," said Jodie Chorley. "You can just tell they're feeling a million dollars in their new slippers and we're grateful to our friends at Cosyfeet for their help."

Located at The Tanyard near Clarks Village, Cosyfeet creates footwear for those requiring extra-wide fittings and often supports local initiatives.

"We have huge respect for the vital contribution made by Strode College and its students to our community," said Cosyfeet Managing Director, Nick Brine. "We're very happy to be able to help."
