The countdown begins for St Margaret's Hospice's much-anticipated event, The Big Somerset Cricket Bash, and they are rolling out the green carpet for you to join this extraordinary gathering!

As Father's Day looms on the horizon, why not celebrate in a unique style? Pair bonding time with your dad with a noble cause on Sunday, 25th June. Join a battalion of supporters for a 10km charity walk, culminating at the picturesque Cooper Associates County Ground. For a token £25, not only will you partake in the exhilarating walk, but you also score a ticket to watch Somerset duke it out with Nottinghamshire on the inaugural day of the County Championship match. Top it off with a delectable bacon butty, an official event t-shirt, and an unforgettable experience.

However, the Big Somerset Cricket Bash is about more than just revelling in a fun-filled day while cheering on Somerset Cricket Club. This grand event provides a platform for those who have endured the loss of a loved one to share stories, express emotions, and foster connections, all while positively impacting their local hospice.

Walk participants can commemorate a cherished one, dedicating their strides on the official Big Somerset Cricket Bash t-shirt.

Among the crowd, you'll find Andy, who walks in honour of his wife, Tanya, who was referred to the hospice in 2017. He has since attended more than 20 counselling sessions with the hospice's Bereavement Team, which he credits as crucial during his difficult journey. He encourages others to join in on the Big Somerset Cricket Bash, foster discussions about mental health, and contribute towards the significant work of St Margaret's Hospice.

Brought to you in sponsorship with Rotec Hydraulics, seats at this special event are limited and tickets must be secured in advance.

So, gear up and mark your spot by visiting www.st-margarets-hospice.org.uk/big-somerset-cricket-bash.

Remember, your every step contributes to a cause and creates a memory that lasts a lifetime.
