Woods Batch Play Area will close temporarily while contractors improve its surfacing, Street Parish Council has announced.

The play area is due to close from Wednesday, 4 November, while contractors carry out the work.

Visitors will not be able to use it while the improvements are under way.

Street Parish Council expects the work to take around a week, with completion anticipated by the middle or end of next week. No firm reopening date has been given.

The council apologised for the inconvenience and thanked residents and visitors for their patience. It said it looked forward to welcoming people back to enjoy the refreshed play area once the work is complete.
