Drivers in Street are being warned of three days of town centre disruption as part of High Street closes for water works.

Somerset Council has made a temporary traffic order for a short stretch near Vestry Road, with the closure due to come into force from Monday, 18 May 2026.

The affected section runs from 50 metres north-east of the junction with Vestry Road, heading north-east for 22 metres.

Bristol Water will use the closure to install a new water supply.

The works are expected to last until Wednesday, 20 May 2026, with restrictions in place between 00:00 and 23:59 each day.

Traffic signs will show when the closure is active.

Further route details are available through one.network.

Anyone with questions about the works can contact Bristol Water on 0345 702 3797, quoting reference ttro418003E.
