Vine Surgery in Street is inviting patients to get a rare look behind the scenes at how their GP practice works. The special group education session will be held at Crispin Community Centre on Wednesday, 16 September, from 6.30 pm.

The practice says the evening will explore why the surgery works in the way it does, how decisions are made and what happens after a patient contacts the team. Dr Trotter and a colleague will also discuss what the practice is trying to achieve and some of the challenges and opportunities facing general practice.

Vine Surgery is based in Hindhayes Lane, Street. The practice says the session is intended to give patients a better understanding of what happens behind the scenes rather than simply what they see when booking an appointment or attending the surgery.

There will also be time for questions and discussion, with patients encouraged to bring along anything they have wondered about the way the surgery operates. The organisers say they hope the evening will offer people a different perspective on their GP practice.

Places are limited to 30 people and must be booked in advance. Anyone wishing to attend can book a place through Vine Surgery's online form.
