Community groups in Street are being urged to come forward as applications open for the parish council's 2026–27 grant funding. Street Parish Council is inviting voluntary and non-profit organisations serving the parish to apply before the deadline on Saturday, 1 August 2026.

The grants are aimed at organisations delivering activities, improving facilities, supporting local people or running projects that bring a clear benefit to the community. The council says funding is limited, with each application to be considered on its individual merits and in line with the council's grant policy.

It means local groups looking to keep services running, improve what they offer or get new community projects off the ground now have a chance to seek support. The scheme is open to voluntary and non-profit organisations working in, or for the benefit of, Street parish.

The Grant Policy and Application Form can be downloaded from the Street Parish Council website at Grant Policy and Application Form for 2026–27. Anyone with questions can contact the council at [email protected] or call 01458 440588.

Street Parish Council said the scheme is about "investing in our community", "supporting local organisations" and "building a stronger Street together". Groups interested in applying are being advised to read the policy before submitting their application.
