The communities of Street and Glastonbury are mourning the loss of Rev Tim Richards, a leader at The Church at Glastonbury Festival and Minister of Street URC Church.

Rev Tim passed away in St Margaret's Hospice, leaving a profound sense of loss among those who knew him. He was renowned for his kindness, humour, and unwavering faith, which touched many lives.

A strong ally and friend to the LGBTQi+ community, Rev Tim brought joy, passion, wisdom, and humour to his community.

A spokesperson for The Church at Glastonbury Festival said: "He loved life, music, art, and creativity, and with his love in God, he brought all of this into his role serving with us. As a committee, we are going to miss him greatly. We will miss his multicoloured nails, his funny trousers, and wise words."

Tributes have poured in from those who knew and loved Rev Tim:

Nigel Lesley Lusby said: "A wonderful man, whom I feel thankful and privileged to have known. I will miss him greatly."

Pete-Caroline Perrington shared: "Only spent a limited amount of time in his company, three festivals. Have happy memories of dancing together in our wellies to obscure bands on small stages. He is gone too soon."

Morrison David added: "I'm going to miss that lovely man of God. Praying for the people that he brought light to, and especially his family."

Rev Tim's passing leaves a deep void in the lives of his wife, Ali, and daughters Leahmay, Juliet, and Emma.

Tim's legacy of faith, kindness, and humour will continue to inspire those who knew him.
