A group of Year 8 pupils from St Dunstan's School in Glastonbury have raised more than £275 to help people in Ukraine.

On Saturday, March 12, the group walked up Glastonbury Tor selling home-made cakes.

A spokesperson for the school said: "We are so proud of our students for showing such initiative; for being aware of the plight of people in Ukraine; for showing kindness by giving up their own time to help others and for being resilient in planning the event and walking up the Tor."

The students raised £279.70 and the money will be donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee
